1. 23,000 Singles ($50 each), 35,000 3-Packs (105,000 tickets) ($100 each), 6,100 9-Packs (54,900 tickets) ($250 each) are available for a maximum total of 182,900 tickets. Single tickets start with number 1000011; 3-pack tickets start with number 3000011; 9-pack tickets start with number 9000011. Records of Walsh King Chartered Accountants shall be deemed correct if there is a discrepancy in numbers.
2. Prizes are tax free to Canadian residents. Tickets are not tax deductible.
3. Bonus Sales Deadline #1 is Midnight, September 24, 2009. Bonus Sales Deadline #2 is Midnight, October 16, 2009. Early Bird Sales Deadline is Midnight, November 6, 2009. Bonus Draw #1 (3 pm, October 23, 2009), Bonus Draw #2 (3 pm, November 10, 2009) & Early Bird Draws (3 pm, November 27, 2009) will take place at Variety – The Children’s Charity: 4300 Still Creek Dr, Burnaby, BC. All other draws will be held between December 3 - 4, 2009 from 9 am to 5 pm at Variety – The Children’s Charity. The Final Grand Prize Draw is scheduled to broadcast live from Global Television Network, 7850 Enterprise St, Burnaby, BC on December 5, 2009 between 8:30 am and 10:00 am. The Final Sales Deadline is Midnight, November 14, 2009.
4. The accounting firm of Walsh King Chartered Accountants will witness the Final Draw. Chances are 1 in 182,900 (total tickets for sale) to win a grand prize. A total prize retail value of $2,059,510.91 will be drawn starting with the prize of least retail value to the prize of highest retail value. Each ticket is re-entered after every prize category. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date. No substitutions are permitted by winners, except where cash equivalent is specified (Grand Prize, Early Bird, vehicle, vacation and electronic prizes). Prizes may not be exactly as shown. Most vacations include roundtrip airfare, hotel, departure taxes and accommodations for two. All flights originate from Vancouver, BC and are subject to availability. BC get-aways are for two and are self-driven. Blackout dates (all holidays and long weekends) and restrictions will apply. Seven vehicles will be awarded (one from each category) and will include applicable taxes and freight. Winners of vehicle prizes are responsible for licences, insurance costs and vehicle pick up.
5. All sales are final once a ticket number is assigned, subject to credit approval. The licensee reserves the right not to accept entries at their discretion. Proof of ownership of shared ticket(s) is the responsibility of the purchaser. Liability of the Foundations shall be limited to ticket price paid. Should a prize be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Foundations, winner will be awarded cash equivalent at fair market value.
7. The following persons and their immediate family members living in the same household may not purchase ticket(s): Board Members of Burnaby Hospital Foundation, The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation, Variety – The Children’s Charity, 2009 Lotto Committee Members, employees of NPO Management Inc. and the firm of Walsh King Chartered Accountants.
8. Winners will be notified by phone and/or mail by NPO Management Inc. as to what they have won and where/how to claim their prize(s).
9. Winners consent to the release of their names, addresses and photos by the licensee.
10. A list of winners will be published online at VarietyLotto.com on December 10, 2009. A list of main winners will be published on December 10, 2009 in The Province newspaper.
11. Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia. Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.
12. The Burnaby Hospital Foundation, The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation and Variety – The Children’s Charity are committed to protecting ticket purchaser’s privacy. Your personal information is obtained or used only with your expressed or implied consent. Information provided to Variety – The Children’s Charity Lotto (Fall) 2009 such as name, phone number, address, e-mail address, and credit card number is private and is used only for processing tickets and providing you with additional information about future lotteries.
13. The draw procedure used adheres to BC Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch regulations.
The Grand Prize winner will choose 1 grand prize option; the other grand prize options will not be awarded.
